So Serious Now
I was excited to wake up to rain pouring down this morning. For about 30 seconds it roared down onto the skylights of the house. I was actually disappointed when I looked up from my desk at work to see sunlight on the building across the alley. I soon forgot about the weather however as I returned to an impossible code architecture. I'm determined now to rewrite it. I did finally "fix" a few of the things on my list, but more elegant solutions will have to wait for the restructuring. It's going to blow. Hard. But I can't wait to do it.
Had a pretty good conversation with a friend about Valentine's Day, but I think I'll refrain from repeating it here. My metabolism is dead today or something and I'm freezing. Even my notebook (not a laptop) feels cool to me. I'm trying to get a couple things done while I wait to crawl under the blankets. I also hope to tire myself out a bit.
I've been trying to find a hiragana flashcard program that will run on my ipod, but haven't had much luck yet. Closest I've come so far is a download of katakana and romanji images that I can scroll through. Guess as simple as it is that's pretty close to what I asked for. Well, always on the lookout for good language programs on the ipod so if anybody knows of any... *listens to the echo...*
Best part of the day: Walked downstairs after work to see a group of people huddled just inside the building's lobby door. The street and sidewalk were shimmering with the rapidly falling rain.
Big Bonus: Upon walking out the door I discovered a thin covering of small ice balls on the ground, little pellets of white, looking much like the salt they scatter in the Midwest after a snow.
