Wind and Fire

Ramblings in the Wind of Fire and Rain blown in.

Name:
Location: Bay Area, CA, United States

I'm a college graduate, a web developer, and soon to be a student again. I picked up the blog-reading virus in the last year and a half and it replicated itself rapidly. I will never again have an unread items count of 0. This virus is also partially to blame for my realization that Human Sexuality is a viable career option. So please excuse me while I worship the internets.

Pod-casts and Blogs - Discuss!

I love the idea of pod-casts. There are all kinds of programs that I never got around to because I always feel like I'm wasting my life sitting in front of the TV and Audio shows are never on when it's a good time to listen. The discovery channel and NPR are two groups that have started doing pod-casts. It's nice to be able to listen to something informative/educational or just entertaining when you can't be doing anything else (in the car for instance). It seems very closely related to the idea behind books on tape.

As far as blogging goes, I think I would find it much more enticing if I were more of a social butterfly or activist. I plan to stick with it for a while (both posting and reading) because I'm sure it will be more enjoyable once I'm more comfortable in the scene. Right now it's a little overwhelming jumping in and trying to find and choose a blog to subscribe to.

Taylor

I hear that on Fridays it is traditional to post a picture of your cat. I know, I know: it's not friday you're saying. That's ok, for 2 reasons, no, 3.
  1. I'll post another on Friday.
  2. Somebody somewhere doesn't know it's not Friday
  3. And I'm sure there are plenty of people who wish it were Friday.
Unfortunately Taylor is not even my cat. But I live with her. And she's a very sweet cat. I wish I had my own cat, but my housemate already has 2 and I'm not in the house enough at the moment to give a kitten the attention it would need. I'm also allergic =o(

*sighs*

Someday.

And into a new world

It seems strange entering so easily into a world that still seems subculturish to me. I still can't believe that this concept that has swept the web with fury is as simple as public journals. Well, we shall see where it goes. I plan to delve in one way or another, get a good taste and see what it's all about. Who knows, perhaps I'll become a blog addict.
